Our offices are centrally located in downtown Bend, Oregon.
We believe that while early recovery and therapeutic work can be challenging, it should also be fun. Bend is the ideal location for our clients to plug into the robust community of young people in recovery and have access to abundance of outdoor recreation in Central Oregon. Bend is a national destination for snowboarding, skiing, snow shoeing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, trail running, and rock climbing.
It is an ideal size for our clients as Bend offers many of the resources and events that come with a city environment but is small enough that a person can have a real sense of community and not get lost in the cracks. It offers easy access to connect to the natural world which is an essential component for our clients who have previously attended a wilderness program and our own wilderness experiential programming.
Who we work with
The mission of Skyline Recovery is to tailor a transitional living program to our clients individual needs: There will be no cookie-cutter approaches used, and every young person who enters will have a unique experience all their own. We will ensure that they plug into the local recovery community and develop a fellowship to support their sobriety. At the same time, we will work closely with each of our clients to set goals for transitioning back into school, work, and ultimately living an authentic life. We believe that group and community support is essential, but that intensive one-on-one therapeutic mentoring is critical in helping these young people truly thrive.
Put simply, our goal is to move these young people from the cycle of one treatment center after another, and get them engaged in the sober and meaningful lives they are capable of.
We work with young adults ages 18-28 who are in recovery from addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, or simply a general sense of feeling lost in the transition from adolescence into adulthood. Our coaching and clinical teams have extensive experience in working with issues related to trauma and addiction. Our clients are motivated young people working toward living a life of recovery. We empower young adults and their families through our independent and trauma informed individualized programs. The majority of our clients have previously participated in some sort of primary treatment or wilderness therapy program prior to working with our team.
We share the definition of recovery as defined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (2012), "recovery as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential."
